2112Ai [Architectural intelligence] 100YC (100 Year City)

Finalist in the project competition. Led to an invitation to expose the work at the XIII Venice Biennale

 

In the next 100 years, we expect information to become completely free and available anywhere and at any time. Therefore we foresee the need for spaces designed for the display of cultural events and the decreasing need for physical storage space for cultural material. 

Symbiosis suggests a strategy for expanding any space which is currently hosting culture-related activities (libraries, theatres, exhibitions, etc.)  in the city of Maribor, Slovenia. The process is intended to take place within the next 100 years taking advantage of Diffusion Limited Aggregation processes and agent-based behaviours.
